Sampler Stitching

Bonjour mes amis!

It's a fair day out today compared to the super hot day we had yesterday.  I completely overdressed yesterday with a sweater and wool skirt and the temperature was up to 25 degrees Celsius! Who could have guessed we had one more hot day in October? Very strange.

I don't have much to report other than I've done a wee bit of stitching this weekend.  I didn't start a new Sheep virtue yet, but will get to that next weekend.  I focused instead on my samplers since that was my fancy.  I do feel a twang of guilt for not stitching on my Chatelaine for many months.  The trouble with that one is that it's on a massive lap stand and quite cumbersome to bring out and put away.  Anyways, here's my stitching progress so far.

Who's under there?

Titus is!

Another sweet Titus photo after he smushed up against my charts

He just wanted to make sure I knew that he likes my stitching.

One of the best things about Autumn other than the beautiful colours, is the gorgeous dahlias.

One day, when I have a garden, I will be planting many of these beauties in all sorts of different colours.

So I've been giving some thoughts to a giveaway and I think I'll post about it on my next payday.  It will be a simple giveaway since I don't have much time to make something this year.  So stay tuned in the next week or so for an announcement!!

Many hugs to you all and happy stitching!!

Anne

So very pretty. I am glad the Granny Stripe is still getting attention too. :) My pinkish purple dahlias are still blooming.

You are doing well keeping up with your stitching and your crocheting even while diving back into f/t work! Titus must miss you though!

Nice progress all around. Love the bunny on the JCS 1707!

I think I would never finish a project if I had to bring out a large frame and put it away. I like having a bag next to my TV watching chair with my latest WIP!

Lovely stitching and Titus is just showing you he approves of your stitching...especially the blanket...as clearly it is for him (or so he thinks) ;)

I'm so happy to see that you still have some stitching time now that you've returned to work, Anne! Everything looks wonderful and that blanket is so bright and cheery. Just like sweet Titus!! I'll bet he missed you now that you're back at work?

Hope your October continues to go well :)

Hi, Anne, love all your work, especially JCS and Sarah Chapple. I have her in my stash. Is Titus a rag doll cat? My Punkin has similar markings and hair. You need some cat hair to give a piece character, LOL!!! The lady where I take the dogs for grooming has beautiful dahlias. I tried them in a pot this year and they weren't too happy. Enjoyed your post.

Nice to see Titus likes to be under blankets too, even if they aren't quite finished yet! And since when is 25C HOT?! I would say "pleasantly mild" lol. Though it would be a bit much for a sweater and wool skirt!

And I agree with Melinda, all pieces need a little cat hair charm. Titus is just helping you out. :D

Your stitching is looking good, it is always a happy time when we move a larger project along even if by just a few stitches. x

So great to see that you pulled your samplers out again, they deserve it as they are so beautiful. But I know - there is never enough time to stitch all the wonderful things that we have in mind.

What is it with cats and crafts - they draw them like magnets.

Gorgeous samplers, Anne, I, too, have not worked on the LSV this past couple of weeks as I have been working on some Christmas Exchange pieces. Love to Titus from Furio and Milo.
