Bitter Flower Sampler Finished!

Well, it's my second finish and my third post of the year.  I'm on a roll. NOT! Oh well, life gets us busy and things go to the wayside when you spend most of it sick, writing reports and going to appointments all the time.  Thankfully, I'm on the mend with Spring break to look forward to.  I have a number of little projects in mind for Spring break so we will see if I get them done.  I want to attempt making a cloth diaper, make those cute crocheted booties and a wet bag.  Should be manageable right? We will see!

Onto my bitter flower finish.  It's a BOAF design that I had kitted up for awhile.  It was a pleasure to stitch in hand.  I used 32 ct. Ray of Light Belfast with the recommended WDW threads.

The linen is a bit topsy turvy for some reason. Hopefully it'll straighten out when I frame it.

I've made some progress on my other big WIP's so here are the photos.

JCS

Knotgarden

Sarah Chapple
I'm itching to do a little small but not sure which spring one to do. I'll have to look through my freebie charts and other spring charts to see what speaks to me.

Speaking of spring, we have had an early start to spring.  Many of the blossoms and flowers are out although we are now going through a bit of a cold snap.  Hopefully the flowers will be okay!

I've also done a wee bit of knitting just to practice my knitting skills.  I'm attempting to make my hubby a scarf for next winter. So far so good!

Knitting in the BClabs waiting room
Hum, nothing much more to report other than I'm having loads of fun with my acid indigestion and pregnant insomnia.  Thankfully I smile when I feel Bean roll, kick and push parts of me.  It's such an amazing feeling to have in my belly!

Of course I can't forget my first fur baby...Titus!

Helping me with reports

Hiding under a blanket

Giving me "I want kibble" eyes
Hugs to you all and thank you for visiting!!

OH, what a lovely finish you have here. A wonderful design with a beautiful flower and great saying, I think. It shouldn't be a problem to straighten the fabric when you frame it. You can also straighten it when you put a damp cloth on it and then press it until the cloth is dry, that's waht I usually do. But that works only with colourfast therads. BUt you wuill find a way.

Very nice progress on your WIPs, too.

And good to hear that little bean is growing and moving and having fun in your belly, lol. And yes, acid reflux and insomnia are sometimes the fun that we are having while being pregnant. These times are far away for me but I can still remember this, lol.

Gorgeous finish and looks like a really fun stitch. And you have made a lot of progress on all those beautiful WIPS.

Love those Spring flowers... no early Spring here... expecting yet another winter storm today. Yuk!

Sounds like the flu has kind of abated so now it's digestion issues. Always something, huh? Hope that eases off soon too.

Hello, Titus! Handsome Boy!

Congrats on the Bitter Flower finish! It's gorgeous. I stitched this years ago and I still love it. I think I love everything BOAF.

You are making great progress with your other pieces too! Girl, you are keeping really busy. I don't know how you do it, but then you are practicing to be a mom, eh!

Isn't this the most amazing weather? Take care. I hope you get a nice Spring Break coming up soon!

What a special time this is in your life, dear Anne... The final couple of months where it's just you and your husband (well, and sweet Titus). Your life will change forever, but in a glorious way and I know you will embrace these changes fully... I smiled when I read your words about feeling the baby move inside you--it really is an incomparable feeling and one that a mother never forgets.

Your knitting and stitching are all so beautiful and a big congratulations to you on that lovely BOAF finish :)

I'm so glad you have a break coming up with work--you'll have plenty to keep you busy, I'm sure. Hope the flu and colds leave you alone now that your weather is improving. We are such a long way from spring in this area :(

Take care now and know I'm thinking of you!!

What a lovely finish!! I admit I did have a good chuckle at your first picture though "The bee sucks"... and not knowing the rest of the phrase tickled my funny bone haha. The Sarah Chapple colors are just wonderful too.

You are having more of a spring than we are down here in the middle of the US! We're drowning in snow at the moment. My poor daffodils are getting tired of it, I think. You will have a fabulous break, with your adorable green belly haha. :D
