October is nearly upon us and I don't know where September went. I forgot how time flew when you teach in a school. In schools, we are constantly looking at time in the present, in the past and in the future. Recently, I bought a new cell phone, and a new computer (YAY), in order to have one of those fancy calendar apps so I can manage all of my school meetings and not double book myself on weekends. Sometimes I wish I could shut my eyes and halt time for a bit. I'm also panicking about time because of a number of personal issues. I don't want to go into details here but think about what a woman wants at my age and how she can feel panicky....
Okay. Enough about minutes, days and years...onto more interesting stuff.
I have to take a moment to say how amazed and inspired I was to see all of the Pumpkins for Cathey posts. It really made me realize how important we all are to each other and what a truly unique and fantastic stitching community we have built. Think of it. Our little community cheers everyone up when one is feeling down, dances silly happy dances when we finish a project, and also we give each other so much love, prayer, and support. It's wonderful!! I want to thank you all for your lovely comments in the past few posts. I cherish each one. Please be patient with me in returning comments and visiting your blogs. I should be able to get into more of a groove after all of my parent/teacher meetings in the next few weeks. (HUGS!!)
Right, so I forgot to do an IHSW post but there really wasn't much to share with you. This weekend I stayed up late last night finishing Hannah. Well not completely. There's the 1 over 1 to do. Hannah is such a stunning sampler. My husband and I were talking about trying to frame her ourselves. She isn't overly large, unlike Jane is so it shouldn't be too difficult.
So many projects I want to do and now I'm thinking about Christmas! Ack!! Well, I know what I need to work on next and that is a baby blanket for my cousin-in-law's baby to be. When I saw Evalina's Good Morning finish with the rooster, I commented on the chart and she was so kind to send it to me. Both my cousin and I are obsessed with the farm animals theme, so I am thinking of stitching the rooster and making a baby blanket. Thankfully, babies are small so the blanket will be too. Thank you Evalina!!
After looking through my DMC box, I found I was missing a bunch of threads...of course I'm missing the threads! I feel like I have the entire collection, but no I don't! So off I ran to Michael's and found the threads and some white linen to stitch it on. Since I was close to Chapters, I hopped in to see if they had the new JCS ornament issue...and they did!!
Loads of great little ornaments to stitch up. I think once I'm done with Hannah and the rooster, I'll choose an ornie to stitch.
I have a ton of other little projects I've been working on but no pictures to show. I have given my giveaway waaaay too much thought and I think I'm just going to do it this weekend. I'll let the winner choose what to stitch from a few choices I will give. That way it won't take an age to stitch!!
Here's some photos I have taken from the last few weeks to sum up this post.
There you have it....take care everyone!!

Time seems to be passing faster and faster ~ yikes!! Here's to trying to find a slower pace....
Love your finish and the rooster!
Your finish looks great! By the way, Anne, you're a winner over at my blog An Arizona Stitcher. Go check it out!
Hannah is looking wonderful! I know what you mean about how time flies when you teach - I feel like I've been shot out of a cannon every morning!
Your sampler is just beautiful! Time is really flying. i thought it was just me but I am reading it on so many blogs!
Hannah is just lovely.
I haven't sewn anything from last years Christmas issue. So much for sewing one each month. :)
Time is just flying by Anne! You are so close to finishing Hannah! Such a pretty sampler. That cement mixer is odd.
Hugs to you and pretty boy!
I agree, I don't know where September went too!!! You will have a finish with Hannah in no time - she's lovely! Don't envy you the over one though!
Hannah is lovely indeed, & yes, time certainly is flying by. October already? Really? Soon it will be next October ... & then the October after that. Argh! Titus is as handsome as ever. Sophie uses that same pose when she is asking for treats. She is sitting here telling me to send Titus her purrs, so there ... I did it : )
Hannah is beautiful (:
Titus is so cute!
Hannah is a gorgeous finish Anne! Soon it will be framed and hanging in your home! Congrats! Oh look--you won a giveaway! Go girl! Hugs!
Hannah is looking so so gorgeous! Almost there! Hope the framing goes well too. Yay on the new cell phone and computer. I'm trying to get DH to get a new cell -- he desperately needs one.
Time seems to go by so fast when we don't want it to but slow when we have something we are looking forward to. Oh well life goes on.
Love your sampler, I know you two can frame and do it justice.
Have fun with some new holiday projects.
wow hannah is looking so pretty..you almost there..keep it up dear.

hugs x
Hannah is fantastic! Can't wait to see what it looks like framed. Happy October! :D

Linda
Hannah is fantastic. Congrats on almost finishing her.
The corn on the cob truck is too funny. What a riot to drive around all day.
Hi pretty boy! Hi Anne! Hannah is almost done - woohoo!
As to time flying - yes it sure is. I hear what you are saying. I hope everything works out for you.
Hannah looks great! Have fun with the over one :D

I don't teach and times is never enough either :p heheh There's always so much I want to do, even if the days had 48hours.. I would probably say it wasn't enough either! hahahaha but has been like that since I know myself! hahahah
It's true, an amazing thing to see so many people gathering for our friend =) I'm very happy to be a part of this special event too, I hope Cathey will be able to see it all very soon :)
Your wip looks wonderful!! Very pretty :)
I need to order that Christmas issue!! Does it have many pretty ornaments inside? :)
Hugs!!! Nia.
I totally agree with you, Anne, on what a wonderful stitching/blogging "family" we have here. I love how stitchers of all ages, nationalities, religions, etc. come together in support of each other. I'm certainly thinking of you at this time in your life and hoping things work out :)
You've mad wonderful progress on your Hannah sampler--isn't it amazing to think of all the hours you've put into this one?
I just stitched my first little ornament from the new JCS issue yesterday :) Looking forward to seeing which one you pick first!
Hope you enjoy a relaxing weekend, Anne...
We are a wonderfull family, with all big hearts filled with many love.
Hope she got all that love.

I'm so happy to be part of the community you're speaking about, almost a family...really
I sincerely hope it will last for long if not forever =)
lovely stitches as usual here, a great job on this piece
amazing

big hugs

Fantastic photos Anne.
Hannah is looking stunning!
I don't know where time goes and I don't work! One day just seems to melt into the next and the next!
My son was 11 last month, those years have certainly flown!! I was 35 when I had him, the perfect age I believe.
I was 42 when I had the small boy which was not so easy. Anything before 30 is far too young as you risk being a Grandma by my age LOL.
Love your Hannah stitching too.
Babies... Did I hear babies mentioned??
Hannah looks fantastic - well done :)
I know what you mean about time... Where does it go? I never seem to have enough hours in the day anymore...
Titus is so cute :)
Hugs x
Hannah is beautiful.
Your photo of Stanley Park brought back lovely memories of visiting the park and aquarium with my kids a few years ago.

That corn cob cement truck is hilarious!
Woah are you ever close to a finish!!! I think the thing that strikes me most about this WIP are the colours. I find they are just perfect and they stand out so well. Vibrant but not crazy :)
I feel ya on the work side of things. It's been mega crazy at my work too, so much so I started to take some work home !!! EEEEK! Luckily it's died down a bit now and I actually feel like I have time for myself again. Plus I can't imagine Parent/Teacher Meetings are very fun...
Thanks for sharing your photo's beautiful as always!
