Titus the Stashaholic and TUSAL

Thank you all for your lovely comments on my last post.  I have been horribly behind on catching up with blogs, and I feel as though I will never catch up.  I'm looking into purchasing a Samsung Galaxy which I can use while I'm traveling and I hope I can use my long commute to catch up on emails, blogs and reading!! I think it will be a useful tool and it's a lot cheaper than an ipad!!

Last week I received my giveaway win from Pat, the Southpaw Stitcher, and I am amazed at what she sent! She was so generous and sent me an assortment of ornie fabrics, a cute little ort catcher and of course the PSS chart with the threads and linen.  Thank you again Pat for the beautiful stash!

I had to include the photo of Titus on top of my giveaway wins.  When I opened the package the other night, he sauntered in and laid on top of everything!! He sniffed everything very gently. I had to take some photos to show his love of stash.  He's really addicted!!

Luckily he is a gentle cat and doesn't dare to use his claws on my stitching! As you can see I had fun with the collage feature!

On the weekend, I stitched a bit on Knotgarden, Hannah and I finally finished Baked Goods.  I looked for some fabric to match Baked Goods and I found one, but I'm not overly sold on the match.  I may have to take a trip to Fabricland to see what other fabric would work.

I also started the lovely BBD chart that Carolyn gifted me.  I decided to work with the 40 ct. Vintage Light Exemplar.  It's slightly peachy in colour and I think it works well with the threads.  The photo shows it as grey which isn't the case.  I need to find some pretty vintage buttons to go along the side there.  Just where I can find some, who knows.  This city is lacking in the vintage button department!
Here's my collection of orts for February's TUSAL.  I took the photo on a beautiful silver salmon platter that my Nana gave to me.  There's lots of orts this month from all the stitching I managed to do!
Now that one of my RAK's was received, I can show you what I stitched for Mouse. I chose Nancy's Christmas freebie to stitch.  I used a mulberry Silk thread and ribbon from HDF.  I'm glad Mouse loves her RAK/Bday gift.
So there's just a few more things to share.  I finally received my birthday order from Needlecraft Corner.  It was a gift from my mom and I'm so excited to stitch some of the designs I chose!! I feel a wee bit overwhelmed now with all the stash I have acquired! I think I'll lay off from getting anymore until I've used what I have!! Thank you Mom!!
Charts from BBD, Carriage House, and PS
Beautiful threads from CC, GAST and Dinky Dyes Silk
I hope you enjoyed this post.  I'll leave you with a photo of some pretty tulips I bought.  I can hardly wait for more flowers to bloom here.  It's been rather cold out and I only see the snowdrops poking out.  Very late for Vancouver!

Happy Stitching!

Anne

Nice stitching. Love the ribbon finish on the RAK you sent. I think you can find a better fabric for the Baked Goods too.

Had to laugh at your cat, cats are so nosey, my Molly does the same thing trying to sit on my lap when i'm stitching, doesn't matter what's in the way, lol.

Have a good week x

Hello, young lady! I hope you've enjoyed a nice day off today. I did. Of course there was loads to do but I got to organize my stash a bit which is always a good thing.

You lucky gal, you scored some great things! Even though you feel you haven't been able to stitch much, the WIPs are looking good. I love the border on Hannah!

Have a great week, Anne! Hugs to you and Titus!

Hi Anne,
Glad you liked the giveaway package. Titus is such a gorgeous kitty! He reminds me of my Frazier, who was a Maine Coon, only a different color. Baked Goods looks great, as do your WIPs. Looks like you have enough new "stuff" to last you awhile.

No wonder you love Titus so much--he obviously has great taste in hobbies :) What a wonderful giveaway win from Pat and just look at all of your new goodies, Anne!

No wonder Mouse loved your little RAK--you did a super job on it! Such a gorgeous shade ribbon you used. And Fabricland! Oh, it sounds like heaven--wish we had one of those around here! Enjoy!!

Sweet Titus!
What a lovely gift you made for Mouse.
Great present from your mom. That'll keep you busy for a while now.

I think Titus just likes to make everything smell like him! The other day I changed the sheets on the bed, the first thing Hunter did was roll and writhe all over the bed!

You've gotten a lot of fantastic stash lately!

Personally I don't like the backing fabric you've chosen for baked goods, the colours just don't jive. But that's me.

Gorgeous stitching and some lovely prizes. Love the ribbon on Mouse's pillow, so sweet and ruffled!

Is it a phone or tablet you're thinking of getting? I only have a really basic phone (£9.99) for texting but I'm finding it hard to get time to check blogs and I'm wondering if a phone or a tablet is the answer.

Baked Goods is a lovely design... Have fun choosing the perfect backing fabric for it. I always find that the hardest thing to do. So many different fabrics to choose from

Lots of great photos. I don't know how you did the collage, but your buddy is a real cutie! What a great package you received.

Very nice stitching progress on your WIPs. And wow, there's a finish, too. It's not always easy to find the perfect backing fabric for a finished piece. Sometimes I just pull out a fabric and know that it's it. And sometimes I can't find anything that I really like.
You ordered some absolutely great charts and threads, have fun starting them!

Titus never fails to bring a smile to my face : ) Sophie is still asleep or she would be sitting here drooling at his handsomeness : ) Lovely photos!

Lovely photos. How large a piece of fabric do you need for Baked Goods? I have a small (10x14) piece of cute fabric with pastries on it that you might like? I would be glad to send it you if you like.

I love it! Titus is the first stash addicted cat!! He's such a gorgeous fur baby too.
You have some lovely starts and finishes. I love your RAK for Mouse.

We have such similar tastes in our designers. With the exception of two, I have all the charts that you added to your stash. Great minds think alike!
