A Pathetic IHSW and TUSAL

That's right folks.... I had a pretty abysmal IHSW this weekend for stitching.  Thank you darling Joyce for putting it on....I plan to actually do better next time.

That's how I feel!! I can't write for some reason...I think my mind is overheating like my computer with my massive TO DO list to do!

I can't even focus on blogging right now because I have tons of kids files to read and sort and organize.  Which is great.  Not complaining at all. I just wish there was more time to manage all that I am managing. I'm am woefully behind on emails and commenting but I am keeping up with a lot of your blogs!! Sometime soon I will get in the swing of things again and be able to stitch, blog and comment...all things I love to do.  The desire for stitching has pretty much disappeared until I get my brain sorted out.  Thank you all for joining my giveaway and hello to my new followers! Too bad you joined when I'm in a slump :( Usually I have more energy and interesting things to share with my readers.

In case you missed the link....here's my 2 Year Giveaway post.  Be sure to enter!!

Anywho.  How about some photos.

I thought of flushing my pathetic threads down the toilet...but thought better of it.
I lost so many of my threads while camping/traveling....

I really do wish I could have breakfast all day long.  Tori Amos sums up my sentiments on breakfast in the song Purple People; "Breakfast, every hour, it could save the world!"
The crow apparently thinks so too.

My Tётя Mira's Russian rooster egg.

My Matryoshka dolls...perhaps from my Tётя Mira (Tётя=Aunt) on my desk in my classroom.

Oh and the stitching I managed to do one evening.  I worked on my lovely Jane.  I wish I could spend my days finishing her up.  Perhaps this weekend......

Here's Titus too for those who love to see him.

Pretty boy.....pretty pretty boy.  Lol!!

Hugs to you all and know that I think of all of you and appreciate all your lovely comments and encouragement.  If only I could make another me to manage my workload!!! Crazy thought!

Anne

Edited: I left out the "e" in my own name...lol

I know the feeling. I've just gotten back into the swing of stitching again after a few weeks of not much progress. So much to do so little time!

Have a great week Ann(e) hehe.

Don't fret Anne, I don't think I ever had free time at the beginning of a school year!!

You'll get there, the start of a school year is always intense.

Life goes that way sometimes. I find it impossible to embroider when I am overtired or have a lot on my mind. Yet I love to think and reflect as I stitch.

I have one of those Russian Dolls - it reminds me of my primary school teacher who used to have one! We all get our own name wrong sometimes - I always struggle when someone asks my name..I want to give the war and peace on the various names I am referred as! lol In the words of D:Ream..Things can only get better!

Hey Anne! I hope that you get into a workload pattern that will allow you to find some time to stitch. It will happen. Your Jane progress is lovely.
Hugs to you and the pretty boy!

Stitching is not a race. If it's not the right time for it, just wait til things settle down and you can return to it. Hang in there!

Boy, Annie's got it right! I feel constantly propelled by others. I have to stop myself VERY often.

lol! You're so funny with your ORTs on the toilet! lol! Your Jane is looking great -- I see you're tackling the monster bird. lol! It's fun to see your Jane since our colors are different. I think your colors are prettier..... Maybe it's just that I see mine all the time. Are your A&E pretty pink? Mine are! Weird! Love your Matryoshka dolls on your desk! And I do love breakfast as well! Hope your new job is going well and that you are loving it.

I'm sure things will get into more of a routine for you as the school year goes on, Anne. Blogging and stitching may have to be on the back burner for a while, but the nice thing is you can always come back to them at any time :)

Your progress on Jane looks quite good to me--hope you get some stitching time this weekend! Have fun with all "your kids!" I'll bet they're thrilled to have Miss Anne as their teacher...

Hi
Just found your blog.

Your stitching is lovely and I hope you have a good weekend and find some stitching time soon.

Ewa said...

Awww Anne, I feel you! Except in my case, whenever I'm too busy to stitch is exactly the time where I want to do nothing but stitch! It's very inconvenient.

Hahaha, flushing your threads! I don't think I'd recommend it; what if they got stuck?!? You'll eventually get back into some sort of routine, never fear! Just iron your brain out, heehee~

LOVE the rooster egg!

I would have loved to be have been a stitching hermit this weekend but that definitely was not to be. Perhaps some stormy winter weekend. Love your post Anne. Hope you get more time to stitch sometime soon :)

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one not getting a lot of stitching done. I'm also having trouble settling on what to stitch when I do have the time to sit down.
