Two Months Already!

My little guy is two months today! Boy does time fly when all you get is 2-3 chunks of sleep! We are settling into more of a routine and this week I've noticed he's now sleeping his first sleep as long as 3 1/2 - 4 hours! But I don't get that much still.  I'm waiting eagerly for the day that I can sleep at least 5 hours in one stretch! It's so hard on me and my body.  I feel like an old lady.  My knees creak when I bend down and I have a hard time getting up from a sitting on the floor position.  My feet ache all the time as does my head.  But I'm rewarded with the most darling smiles, coos and "ahgoos" from Nathanael.  I've managed to stitch and crochet a bit when he goes down for a nap once I've done the never ending mountain of dishes and laundry.  I've restarted a Prairie schooler Santa for my husband as the last one I cut the fabric too narrow and there was no point in ripping it out.  Take a look!

I heard that the makers of Prairie Schooler designs--the names escape me right now--are retiring so the other day, I ordered a bunch of charts....charts I won't stitch for quite some time but nice to have on file.  I ordered some of the folk tale ones so I can stitch them for Nathanael.

During his naps, I managed to stitch some more of the border on Sarah Chapple, frame the BBD "Her Sampler" and crochet a bit.  It's nice to craft a bit...maintains my sanity!

I almost forgot to mention that I was a winner of some of Terri's fabrics - Dixie Samplar- and little fall freebie that I think I'll try to start sometime next week.  Her fabrics are so lovely! Thanks again Terri!

That's it for anything stitching related.  As a new mama, I can't help but take a gazillion photos of my little man.  Here are a few of my favourites.

Starting him early on Russian authors..hehee

He figured out how to get his thumb into his mouth...oh boy!
That's all for now.  I hear him fussing and I need to get some makeup on my raccoon circles in order to be presentable for the farmer's market!  I thank you all for staying with me and sending your lovely comments even though I haven't responded to them all I still have hopes to send everyone a little email eventually!

Hugs to you all!!

Anne

For once, I skipped all the stitching pictures to get to the baby pics! So cute, he certainly is growing. I love the picture of him and Titus together. The look on his face...lol! Take care! Oh yeah, your stitching is great. Sarah Chapple is very pretty.

Lovely to see Nathaniel - I do like the photo of him with Titus. Things change so quickly with a new baby and each stage brings it's pleasures and trials.

What a cutie! He is adorable. I remember those days of no sleep and it is hard on you so take it easy and don't feel bad resting when you can. Lovely stitching. Beautiful samplers. x

What a beautiful little boy!! Somewhere in my memory, I do remember how little sleep you get those first few months! Some of the PS nursery rhyme charts would be great for his room. You are smart to get them before they become OOP and expensive!

Two months already! How time flies. You are doing well to get any stitching done.
I heard about Prairie Schooler too. It's a shame because the eBayers will make all the money now not the designers.
Lovely photos of Nathanael too, he's got a lovely smile.

He is ADORABLE! Enjoy the time - I didn't believe it when people would tell me they grow up too fast….but it's true. My 'Baby" is 32 years old this year. Doesn't seem possible,

It's amazing that you have any time and motivation to stitch! But you've actually made progress.. what a trooper.

Nathaniel is just too adorable. He is a real heart-stealer! Worth every bit of the work and fatigue (easy for me to say.;-).

These pictures of your little son are such a delight. He's so so cute. Good to read that you are all fine although you still don't get a lot of sleep. And this will stay so for another while :) BUt you get some crafting done while he naps, so that's good for you.

I agree with Dani--you don't need to throw out the PS Santa and start over. There is enough room. Nathanael is truly adorable--what a charmer! Hugs to you all, including the debonair Titus.

You have a great attitude! Those first few months are tough with the lack of sleep -- I remember how it is. But they are precious moments too, and it sounds like you know that well! You have such a darling son! 2 months -- I can't believe it's been that long! Enjoy every moment! (love all the crafting too!

What a darling!! I know so well how missing sleep messes with your head and body, but in the not-too-distant future it'll get better. :D Enjoy that little boy and keep taking pictures!

Oh, isn't Nathanael just the sweetest!! I have a feeling he is going to be very tall, Anne--are you and Lee on the tall side? His photos made me smile--what a doll!

I'm glad you are getting some stitching time in now that you are a busy mom. I remember always rushing to stitch when my sons were napping. It was a sad day when they gave up napping :)

If you find anything that works for raccoon circles under the eyes, let me know--I am having issues lately, too, since my husband's fall!

Enjoy what is left of July--hard to believe August is almost here!

Take care and big hugs to you all xx
